Soul Garden: Exploring the Landscape of Your Soul
With Susan Pitchford
Through the prophet Isaiah, God promises the righteous that “You shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.” Does your soul feel like a watered garden, a place where you and God can enjoy each other’s company, surrounded by beautiful colors and fragrances? Or does it sometimes feel like a vacant lot, full of litter and weeds? Or maybe just a giant lawn, with nothing much happening?
The story of creation in Genesis tells us that a garden was our original habitat, the surroundings we were designed for. That lushness and beauty is also God’s desire for our souls. But gardens need to be tended to flourish. Consider giving your soul the luxury of some attentive gardening, through spiritual direction, uplifting reading, or perhaps a retreat you can share with others. God is the Gardener, of course. But I am here to work alongside you if you could use some company. I invite you to explore this site and discover ways you could cultivate your interior garden, so you and God and others can enjoy it together.
